My name is William J. (Bill) McCabe. I've been a Nationally Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor since 1996.
For over 25 years, I've worked in the field of addictions providing interventions and consulting services to those affected by the disease of chemical dependency. My focus is helping families & individuals recover from the devastating effects of drug and alcohol addiction.

About Bill & Helping Hand Interventions:
I started Helping Hand Interventions in 2001 after many years of experience working with the families, clients and personally suffering from this chronic, progressive and fatal disease.
During the last 20 years I have facilitated many Interventions. The methods and approaches may have changed but the ultimate goal still remains the same. Get the addict into treatment. This is the short version.
Experience tells me that people do not have to spiral down to the dark depths of despair to seek help from addiction.
I never meet an addict that enjoyed being an addict.
They just don't know how to stop. Many of them don't even realize how bad it is due to the distorted reality addiction creates.
Helping Hand Interventions Steps to Success:
When I facilitate an Intervention everyone involved will have treatment recommendations, and I follow up with all the participants.
Long term recovery is the goal for all participants.
The family is usually the most motivated to pursue and attempt to reach out and intervene. The problem they struggle with is their own issues of guilt, shame and fear.
Most families have been fractured and are usually extremely angry with the addict. Sometimes you only get one chance to intervene. That's why you need to have a professional intervention specialist involved.
My approach is to get everyone involved healthier.
An Intervention can provide a family with hope and begins the recovery process for all members involved. Everyone will get healthier and in turn so will the addict.
Each participant will have a recommended course of treatment following the Intervention.
Residential treatment is just the beginning for the addict, that's why my services help the addict, families, and compliment the work of the residential treatment centers, outpatient programs and private therapists.
Professional Case Management, Sober Companion and Recovery Coaching provide that extra advantage that most individuals and their families need for immediate and long term recovery.
